Leander Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgical Technician to join our growing team!
We're a busy, privately owned, 5-doctor small animal practice located in a modern, 8,000-square-foot facility in the heart of Leander, Texas. We're locally owned, independently operated, and committed to providing exceptional veterinary care without the corporate nonsense.
We're looking for someone who is confident in the surgical suite, comfortable with anesthesia, detail-oriented, and ready to jump in and make a difference.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare patients and surgical suites for procedures.
- Induce, monitor, and assist with anesthesia and patient recovery.
- Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate anesthetic records.
- Place IV catheters, administer medications, and provide perioperative patient care under veterinarian direction.
- Assist veterinarians during surgical and dental procedures.
- Maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile environments.
- Recognize anesthetic complications and respond appropriately with the veterinary team.
- Provide compassionate patient care and work collaboratively with our doctors and technicians.
What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a veterinary surgical setting. REQUIRED.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia, patient monitoring, and surgical protocols.
- Experience with IV catheter placement, intubation, and surgical patient preparation.
- Ability to work confidently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine love for animals.
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred but not required.
- AVImark experience is a plus!
Compensation & Benefits 💰
- $23–$27 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Signing bonus available, based on experience.
